Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed and 11 of his government ministers, wore scuba gear and plunged nearly 20 feet into the Indian Ocean for a special cabinet session on Friday calling for concerted global action on climate change ahead of the Copenhagen conference. Maldives, the lowest lying nation on earth, could be submerged by rising sea levels due to global warming. We air excerpts of a recent discussion between President Nasheed Mohammad and Mary Robinson, the former President of Ireland and former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
